More photos from Tokyo! I'm really missing it, the long days and the good quality Japanese rice heehee. Especially since I'm back in Sydney and its slowly but surely melding into Autumn and Autumn will quickly meld into Winter. Daylight savings is now over and the days are getting shorter shorter, so boo to you! But no matter, I'm in a good mood today because while I was heading home in Uni after class I walked by the Old Teacher's College (where they make old teachers, no just kidding), I head someone playing the piano in one of the Halls upstairs, and I just sat down on the grass in front of the building and did nothing but breathe and listen. Good way to end my day, I'd say (yes I rhyme heehee). So because I'm in a good mood, I shall spread the love ☀☺❤✌
The most amazing crab meat spaghetti I've had! At a restaurant at the edge of Shinjuku called Trattoria Tanta Bocca (which to me sounds more Japanese than Italian but the food is good!)
Walked to Shinjuku Park where there's an entrance fee of about ¥200 for maintenance and what not

Me and my sister! I have about a bazillion of shots like these but I shan't be narcissistic and post them all
matchy stockings heehee

it looked like it was snowing cos the cherry blossoms were starting to fall, and we couldn't catch it on camera so me and my sis tried to recreate it by grabbing them off the floor and tossing them like confetti. I'm obviously more excited about this. hahah
My momma and poppa ♡
Dinner that night was spectacular. The park closes at 4pm so we walked around Shinjuku looking at gadgets and food and got hungry early, so ended up eating Teppanyaki at one corner. Can't really remember what the restaurant was called but it was amazing.
This was abalone with a herb butter sauce and some yummy mushrooms!
There was lobster somewhere, but I ate too fast and didn't get a picture. But here is a picture of my family going straight to hell. Haha kidding! It's a flambe obviously, where they splash some kind of liquor on the steaks (I think it was brandy or something dark coloured) and light a match and ask you for your camera to take a snapshot for you. Cute, touristy, but cute!

This is the best melt in your mouth beef ever! It's domestic Japanese beef, which is apparently really expensive because its so good. They call it black cow, which is a really high grade cattle.
Fried rice which was really neatly pressed into rectangles! With cubes of fat (oh so sinful) from the steak sprinkled on top.

And that is the end of Sakura day! Even more to come...
You make me hungry :(
ReplyDeleteBut it's not like I can eat any of the things you did ;P
And you make me wanna go Toki-toki-tokiyo.. AND KYOTOOOO. I super damn terribly immesnsely tragically wanna go to Kyoto.
